Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an ozonizer the O3 generation efficiency of which is enhanced by putting a flexfible spacer made of electrically conductive material into the space between an earthed side electrode tube and a dielectric such as glass tube to seal the space.
CONSTITUTION: Flexible spacer 10 made of electrically conductive material is put into the space between earthed side electrode tube 1 and dielectric 3 such as glass tube. The spacer may be an electrically conductive wire net or cloth using carbon, etc. It is previously formed into a cylindrical shape and fixed into the space, or it is wound round conductive film 4 of dielectric 3. Because of its flexibility, spacer 10 well fits to dielectric 3 and hence fulfils its function. In addn., it is a good heat conductor, exhibiting high dielectric cooling effect. Accordingly, the O3 generation efficiency is enhanced remarkably.
