Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent hardening of slurry soaked from an opening of a re-slurrizing device by closing the opening with a plug soluble by slovent except water before throwing slurry into a hold.
CONSTITUTION: A pressed bulk cargo re-slurrizing device is consisting of a well 2 provided at the bottom of a hold 1 and a nozzle 3 projecting into lower portion of the hold 1 at center portion of the well 2 and rotatable about center axis X. A plug 7 made by soluble material by slovent except water is forced into an opening 3A of the nozzle 3 before slurry is thrown into the hold 1, and when the cargo is desired to be re-slurrized, solvent except water is fed first to the nozzle 3 through high-pressure water feeding line and the plug 7 is melted, subsequently, high-pressure water is supplied to eject into hardened slurry. According to this method, soaking of slurry into the device through the nozzle 3 and hardening of slurry in the device may be prevented by the soluble plug 7.
