Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a stable and inexpensive polymer composition having high conductivity comparable to that of the conventional conductive material, and excellent film-formability, by blending an insulating polymer with N-methylphenadinium-tetracyanoquino-dimethane salt.
CONSTITUTION: (A) An insulating polymer (e.g. polystyrene, etc.) and (B) preferably 20W80 wt.%, especially 30W80 wt.% of N-methyl-phenadinium-tetracyanoquinodimethane salt (the amount of tetracyanoquinodimethane is 51 wt.% in the salt) are quite homogeneously dissolved in an amide-type solvent, e.g. N,N-dimethylformamide, etc., and the solvent is distilled off to give the blend.
USE: Conductive materials, condenser-resistor composite materials, etc..
