Abstract

PURPOSE: An organic conductive compositition having uniform conductivity, prepared by mixing a dithiolium 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethan salt with a plastics.
CONSTITUTION: 20W80wt% dithiolium 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethansalt (DNQ salt) represented by the formula, wherein R is H, CH3, C2H5 or CH2C6H5, m is 1, 2 or 4, n is 1,2 or 7, ΓCNQ is 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethan, is mixed with 80W 20wt% plastics. The above mixing ratio of DNQ salt to plastics is preferred, because at a DNQ salt content below 20wt% a desired conductivity is not obtained and at a DNQ salt content above 80wt% the processability of the composition becomes poor because of the powder form of the DNQ salt. Furthermore, in mixing the DNQ salt with a plastics, a solvent capable of dissolving both of the components can be used or a plastics melt is mixed with a solution of the DNQ salt in a solvent which dissolves the DNQ salt only.
