Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable arbitrary two color recording to be performed by coexistently applying two kinds of light of difference wavelengths from charging process to a photoreceptor having two kinds of photoconductive layers of mutually different spectral sensitivities.
CONSTITUTION: A photoreceptor 1 is of the 3-layer structure comprising laminating two kinds of photoconductive layers 12 and 13 of mutually different spectral sensitivities on a conductive substrate. Laser light sources 2 and 3 are laser light of the wavelengths capable of making the photoconductive layers 12 and 12, 13 respectively conductive. The laser beams α, β radiated from the laser light sources 2, 3 are entered respectively to modulators 4, 5, where they undergo intensity modulation according to the information signals X, Y. The laser beams αX, βY having thus been made to light signals are synthesized to one beam by a dichroic mirror 6 and reflecting mirror 7.
