Abstract
PURPOSE: To fix the aspherical face produced through elastic deformation with good accuracy and efficiently produce the optical element having large aspherical face quantity by bonding a first transparent member curved to aspherical face form to a second transparent member through a transparent adhesive layer.
CONSTITUTION: A first transparent member 1 composed of a thin plate parallel disc such as of glass, plastics or other is mounted in close contact to the opening part of a hermetic vessel 3 by way of an o-ring 2 composed of wax or elastic material. Next, the first transparent member 1 is deflected downward by reducing the pressure in the hermetic vessel 3, by which its bottom face is deformed to a desired aspherical face. Next, a transparent adhesive layer 4 is provided on the top of the member 1, after which a second transparent member 5 of a thickness sufficiently larger than the member 1 is affixed. After the adhesive layer 4 is allowed to set, the pressure reduction of the vessel 3 is released and the integrated aspherical face optical element is removed. It is desirable to use ones of equal refractive indices for the first, second transparent members and adhesive agents.
