Abstract
PURPOSE:To safely dispose of inflammable gas and reduce the cost of equipment, by incinerating the separated gas at a flare stack provided on the stern of a tanker or on a floating storage tank deck when the tanker is anchored or unanchored to the deck. CONSTITUTION:A mixture M consisting of the gas and oil picked up from an oil well 4 is conducted to a separator 6 provided at the storage tank 15 so that the mixture is divided into the oil O and the gas G. The oil is loaded into the tanker 17 through the tank 15. When the tanker is not anchored to the tank deck, the gas G is incinerated at the tip of a first flare stack 19 located on the leeward of the deck 8. When the tanker 17 is anchored at one point to the deck on the leeward of the deck, the gas G is conducted to a second flare stack 22 provided on the stern 17a of the tanker and incinerated at the tip of the stack 22. The gas G is incinerated at the tip of the first flare stack 19 while the tanker 17 is being anchored or unanchored to the tank deck.
