Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the safety of a regenerating brake controller for an electric motor vehicle by breaking both a regenerating brake and a breaker when passing a no-voltage section.
CONSTITUTION: Relay contacts RY2-B and RY2-A are connected to the control circuit of a current limiter solenoid valve CLV. When the coil RY2-C of the relay RY2 is energized and the contact RY2-A is closed, a current limiter LC and a breaker LB continue closing even if an electric motor vehicle is idling. When a regenerating brake switch contact S5 is opened, the coil RY2-C of the relay RY2 is deenergized. When a main controller main handle is shifted to OFF position, the current limiter CL and breaker LB are opened. Since the breaker LB is opened at this time, the regenerating brake is not operated even if the handle is shifted to a normal brake position and a contact S7 is closed to apply brake command to a field regulator controller FRG.
