Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a constant unwinding control of wires at any time without being affected by the amount of windings of the wire by constituting an unwinding device for wires such that the center of the pivotal motion of a pivotal arm is located in coincidence with the center axis of a bobbin and a wire being unwound is guided by a guide member provided at the end of the pivotal arm.
CONSTITUTION: An outer end of a wire 5 wound on a bobbin 6 which does not rotate about its axis is connected to a coil filament producing apparatus with it being guided by a guide pulley 25, through a wire guide hole 23 of a turnable pin 18, by another guide pulley 26, and through a wire guide hole 16 in a rotatable shaft 14. If the coil filament producing apparatus is actuated and a tensile force is applied to the wire 5, the pivotal arm 17 and the rotatable shaft 14 are, since the bobbin 6 cannot be rotated, turned in a direction C whereupon the free end of the pivotal arm 17 travels around the outer periphery of the bobbin 6 to unwind the wire 5 from the bobbin 6. Thus, turning of the pivotal arm by the tensile force of the wire can decrease weight and moment of inertia of the pivotal arm thereby decreasing the tensile force during unwinding operations and the inertia at a stop.
