Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a heat insulating wall body with a nearly flat top surface, suitable for a heat insulating door of a refrigerator, by letting a stock solution of an expandable heat insulating material flow with a press member in such a manner as to increase towards the periphery of a frame body before the solution injected into the frame body is set. CONSTITUTION:A given amount of the stock solution 12 of an expandable urethane resin is introduced from the injector 13 into near the central part of the bottom wall 11 of the top-opened frame body 10. The press member 14 having the nearly circular arc convex 14a gradually protruding downward is placed in the upper part of the frame body 10, and lowered speedily at a suitable time before the solution 12 expands and sets, so that the stock solution 12 is pressurized by the convex 14a under a fixed pressure and let to flow much in such a way as to increase toward the periphery of the flame body 10. After the press member 14 is lifted and removed from the frame body 10, the stock solution 12 expands upward and grows to the same height in the whole area.
