Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively remove ionic substances in high polymer membrane by inserting a high polymer membrane having a specific permittivity and a thickness into between electrodes when transferring and removing ionic substances in high polymer membrane.
CONSTITUTION: A high polymer membrane having the relationships d/1>D/L and 1<1/2L (where D and d are the permittivities of ionic substances-containing membrane and inserted membrane and L and 1 are the thickness of ionic substances-containing membrane and inserted membrane, respectively) is inserted into between the ionic substances-containing membrane 1 and the electrode 3, and then put in the oven 4 at 100°C. Then a voltage (300 V for example) is applied to them from the DC power source 5 to effectively transfer ionic substances in high polymer membrane by means of the actions of heat and electric field.
