Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of twist, and to carry out the titled wire drawing, by putting the square wire, etc., in the V-type groove installed in the capstan for driving the wire, after passing through the die.

CONSTITUTION: The round wire 1 is made of, for instance, metal like as aluminum or copper, or resin coated metal; this wire 1 is passed through the die 2 whose hole shape is square or rectangular, and a square wire 1' is obtained with square or rectangular section; this square wire 1' is fitted into the 90° V-type groove 7 of the guide roller 3 and the 90°V-type groove 8 of the capstan 4, and is driven by the ca]stan 4; hereby, the square wire 1' is drawn in the arrowed direction. Even if the tension fluctuates, the square wire 1' does not come off the V-type groove 8, so that the capstan 4 can pull the wire 1'. Accordingly, the square wire 1' outgoing from the capstan 4 has no twist, and is coiled to the coiling reel 6 through the traversing guide roller 5.
