Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently make an incandescent lamp of high heat radiating property, by producing a metal oxide film only on a specific part of the outside surface of a bulb by the lighting heat of the lamp.
CONSTITUTION: The lamp 1 is assembled to such a state that it can be lighted on. Then, a filament 10 is made incandescent by energizing so that the temperature of the wall of the bulb 2 is raised and such as a mixed liquid consisting of antimony chloride and tim chloride is sprayed onto the total outside surface of the bulb 2. The mixed liquid is oxidized only along the total length l of the filament, thereby producing the metal oxide film 12 only on the part of the bulb corresponding to the filament. Thus, the equipment for producing the oxide film is simplified and the overheating of the bulb during the lighting is prevented.
