Abstract

PURPOSE: To establish the multi-address system which can confirm the connection of called party and the operation of facsimile multi-address at the transmission side, without providing temporary memory means in the facsimile multi-address unit.
CONSTITUTION: In the facsimile polling system in which the unit at caller side of a pulrality of facsimile transceivers FX1 to FXN calls out a plurality of called side units designatedly with the line taken into the facsimile signal transmission mode to transmit or receive the signal, the transceivers FX1 to FXN are connected to the multi-address unit SST via the intra-office exchanger LS, to connect the push button signal outgoing register PBOR and the intra-office trunk IOT to the unit SST. Further, in the unit SST, the incoming trunk ICT detecting the response by the called party, control section CONT outputting the start indication information representing the facsimile signal transmission mode, and outgoing trunks OGTO to OGTN connected to the outgoing sender OSL, are provided, and the start indication information is delivered to one of the caller and called side in response to the condition of response at the called side designated by the caller side.
