Abstract

PURPOSE: To restore input analog signal by reproducing level discrimination output with the reproduced range information and converting data to analog signal with this output.
CONSTITUTION: When an input analog signal is applied to input terminal 1, a sample holding amplifier 2 makes sample holding operation, by which the above input analog signal is sample-held. The sample-held signal is sent to a gain variable amplifier 3, but at this time the variable gain amplifier 3 is set at the minimum gain by the command from a level discrimination circuit 6 and the output signal from the amplifier 3 is setn to an analog-digital converter 5. This converter 5 is start-controlled by the start pulse from a control signal generator 4. Here, if the range information is transmitted, the upper bits MSB may be created from this range information and therefore there is no need for transmitting the MSB of the data and MSB becomes also 1 when any of the range information is 1, thus only required on the reproduction side is to add from the range information.
