Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress the oscillation outside the fixed frequency by adding the inductance to the capacitor to satisfy the phase conditions of the oscillator.
CONSTITUTION: The capacitors are connected across the piezoelectric oscillator in order to satisfy the phase conditions of the oscillation, and inductance 31 and 37 are connected in series to those capacitors 32 and 33 each. These capacitors and inductances form two resonance circuits 1 and 2. Here, the basic frequency of the piezoelectric oscillator is referred to as ω1, the 3rd overtone is ω3 and the 5th overtone is ω5 respectively. The circuit becomes capacitive near ω3 in relation to the resonance circuit and features inductive at other frequencies, thus no oscillation secured. Furthermore, the oscillation can be suppressed for the unneessary mode, thus increasing the loop gain to the necessary frequency of the circuit and then ensuring the steady oscillations.
