Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce unburned carbon content of combustion gas by feeding combustion gas in a combustion zone to a rear combustion zone in a sub flue partially comuunicated in a flue with the rear combustion zone to thereby retain the rear combustion zone at high temperature and to again burn unburned carbon content in incinerated ash at high temperature.
CONSTITUTION: A sub flue 28 is provided to communicate the interior of a cylinder 26 at the lower portion of a rear combustion zone 16 with a temperature reducing chamber 36 in the part of a flue 11. Charged dusts are fed to a dry zone 12 by means of a charging pusher and moved sequentially through the dry zone 12, a combustion zone 14, and the rear combustion zone 16. The air in the rear combustion zone 16 is intaken by means of vacuum of a vacuum pump at the rear end of the flue 11 to allow hot combustion gas in the zone 14 to pass through the zone 16 and from an intake port 21 into the sub flue 28. Accordingly, the hot combustion gas of 750 to 850°C is reversely flown to cause the zone 16 to retain the hot temperature to make contact with burned ash so as to again incinerate the unburned carbon content at high temperature.
