Abstract
PURPOSE: A catalyst for the polymerization of olefins having a high catalytic efficiency for a higher stereoregularity, containing catalyst components obtained from the reaction or grinding of the reaction product of a compound obtained by the reaction of an organic Mg compound soluble in hydrocarbons with an electron donor and a Si-H bond-containing chlorsilane compound and a Ti chloride compound.
CONSTITUTION: An organic Mg compound soluble in hydrocatbons of the formula (I) is reacted with an electron donor selected from ethers, thioethers, ketones, aldehydes, carboxylic acids, alcohols, or amines in an inert reactive solvent, and then reacted with a Si-H bond-containing chlorsilane compound of the formula (II). And, the solid product thus obtained is reacted or ground with TiCl3 or TiCl4 to obtain solid catalyst component which is used in combination with a mixture composed of an organic Al compound and a nitrogenous heaterocyclic carboxylate. In the formulas, M is Al, Zn, B, or Be, R1 and R2 are C1 to C20 HC groups, R is a HC group, α≥0, β, P, and q>0, m is the valency of M, P + q = mα + 2β, a, b>0, and a + b≥4.
