Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance fluidity, triboelectricity, transportability, or the like, by adding a specified finely divided additive to a mixed toner of magnetic and nonmagnetic toners to form a developer.
CONSTITUTION: To a mixture of magnetic and nonmagnetic toners at a weight ratio of about 100:3 to 100:100, a finely devided additive is added having a static attraction between this and the nonmagnetic toner greater than that between this and the magnetic toner in an amount of about 0.5W20 weight % based on the nonmagnetic toner to form an electrophographic developer. Calcium crabonate, magnesium hydroxide, or the like having an average particle diameter of smaller than 5 μ, preferably, than 3 μ is desirable for the above additive. A suitable average diameter of the magnetic and nonmagnetic toners is 3W50 μ, preferably, 5W30μ.
