Abstract

PURPOSE: To make an improvement of the breakdown characteristic due to an unevenness of dielectric strength of the oil itself, by a coating applied to inner circumference of the shielded electrode with an insulator closely aticking to said electrode.
CONSTITUTION: A high voltage electrode of shielded electrode 4, that is, the inner circumference facing the lead core wire is covered by an insulator 41 closely stuck to said shielded electrode 4. In such construction, a fact of breakdown in an unexpectedly low intensity electric field, due to a slight defect of the facing electrode itself as seen in the case of bare electrode, for instance, the ruggedness of surfaces, in decresed, with an improvement made for the breakdown characteristic cased by an uneven dielectric strength of the oil itself.
