CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. is obtd. by mixing 1 part by wt. of Fe, Cu or Zn of below 10 mesh, esp. below 100 mesh with 0.01-100, esp. 0.1-20 parts of silicic acid or further mixing 0.001-100, esp. 0.01-20 parts of a metal halide such as NaCl and 0,01-100, esp. 0.1-20 parts of a filler such as silica or alumina. Since this product generates heat by absorption of O2, it is used as a heating element or an insulating material.
