Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve sucking efficiency by flowing the by-pass flow back to the suction port through the by-pass passage which is formed on the joint surface of two plates provided on the side of the cam ring.
CONSTITUTION: When the number of rotattion of the engine and the delivery increases to rise the pressure on the upstream side of the orifice 39, the spool valve 37 slides resisting to the force of the spring 44 and opens the by-pass port 14. By doing so, a part of the pressurized oil flows on one end of the valve port 36 goes into the by-pass port 14, and the by-pass flow is conducted to the suction port 24 through the by-pass passage 30 which is formed between the pressure plate 15 and the sub-plate 16 and is directly returned to the suction side of the pump chamber 21. By such control of the by-pass flow by the spool valve 37, the pressure difference before and behind the orifice 39 is maintained constant, and the constant rate of prssurized oil is always delivered from the delivery port 40.
