Abstract

PURPOSE:Title composition with high blackness that is prepared by mixing carbon black which has been oxidatively treated with steam with a synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin is mixed with 0.05 - 3 wt%, preferably 0.1 - 2.0wt% of carbon black that is prepared by oxidative by treating furnace black under atmosphere of steam or carbon dioxide containing less than 2, preferably less than 1 vol% of oxygen at 800 - 1200 deg.C, having a specific surface area of 500 - 1800, preferably 900 - 1500 m<2>/g, average particle sizes of 15 - 40, preferably 15 - 30 milli microns, a blackness index of less than 7, for example, 1 parts by wt of a thermoplastic resin as low density polyethylene, 2 - 3 parts of a plasticizer and 1 - 3 parts of carbon black are kneaded to form said resin composition. EFFECT:Said composition shows the same effect as when channel balck is used.
