Abstract
PURPOSE: To raise the capacity of an apparatus which measures a predetermined length of wire through wire rollers and supplies the wire, by automatically controlling the speed of the length-measuring supply within an allowable error range corresponding to the length of the wire.
CONSTITUTION: When the wire supply apparatus is applied to a machine for automatically cutting off a sheathed wire and peeling off the sheath, the wire W is delivered along a guide roller 2, wire-extending rollers 3 and first and a second supply rollers 4, 5 and worked by the automatic cut-off/peel-off machine 8. A variable resistor 11 and a pulse generator 19 are directly coupled to a motor 9 for driving the second supply roller. A signal generated by the pulse generator 19 is entered into a comparator circuit 16 of a motor control circuit 10 to compare the measured length with a set length. When they coincide with each other, the motor 9 is stopped by a signal from a motor stop instruction circuit 18 and the cut-off/ peel-off machine 8 is started by a control circuit 13.
