Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a sound weld zone having a constant quality, by irradiating electron beam having rectangular section on the subject and uniformly mixing and melting annexed wire and basic material.
CONSTITUTION: The electron beam 2 having rectangular section, is irradiated on the subject 1 and the subject 1 is transferred in the arrow mark direction 10. When the wire 3 is thrusted in the beam 2, the beam 2 is sufficiently irradiated without hindering by the wire 3 because the section is rectangular and then, basic material of the subject 1 and adding material from the wire 3, are uniformly mixed and melted. Accordingly, the weld zone 4 having a stable dimension and material, is formed on the subject 1.
