Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent erroneous functions caused by intermittent noise and ensure accurate alarm function when a fire breaks out by connecting an integral circuit or counter circuit to the output side of AND circuit of smoke detector.
CONSTITUTION: If noise is picked up when pulse a is generated from oscillator 1, AND output c is generated and accumulated in integral circuit 7. However, if smoke detecting signal b from amplifier 5 is not generated when the next pulse a is generated, the accumulated electric charge is discharged so that integration level d of integral circuit 7 is reset to the initial value. Therefore, the integration level does not reach critical level VTH because of the generation of intermittent noise, thus preventing erroneous alarm output e from being produced. In case of a fire, smoke detecting signal b from amplifier 5 is continuously applied to AND output c is generated from oscillator 1, thus increasing integration level d of integral circuit 7 step by step. By setting the circuit constant of integral circuit 7, ensuring that integration level d exceeds critical level VTH, alarm output e is generated when a fire breaks out.
