Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the impact of a dielectric belt and a blade element by letting the ridgeline of the blade element and the seam line of the dielectric belt extending in its width direction intersect with a fixed angle. CONSTITUTION:The seam line of the seam part 16 of a closed loop form dielectric belt 15 which is disposed in adjacency to one side of a photosensitive drum 2 and comprises superposing both ends of one flexible dielectric belt with a specified margin for joining and sewing said part is inclined with a specified angle other than a right angle with respect to the ridgeline of a cleaning blade element 25 along the moving direction of the dielectric belt 15. Then, the transfer sheet attracted and held to the dielectric belt 15 is fed to the contact part with the photosensitive drum 2 and is transferred with toner images with a charger 23, after which it is separated from the dielectric belt 15 by a destaticizing device 24 and is sent out to the next process, whereby the impact developed when the seam part 16 passes the blade element 25 is made as small as possible at the time when the dielectric belt 15 is cleaned by the blade element 25.
