Abstract
PURPOSE:To heat objects being mixed uniformly, by supplying electric power, by means of electrodes, to a conductive mixture, such as concrete, and generating Joule heat. CONSTITUTION:The number of electrodes 3, which are supported by crack-proof insulating supporters provided on the inner surface of a cylinder in rotating mixing tank 1, that corresponds to the value of the maximum current to be supplied to a mixture being heated, are provided. To prevent electrodes 3 from being hit by aggregate directly, they may be placed behind mixing vanes 5, or they may be protected by electrode protecting plates 6.
