Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the heat conductivity and the heat efficiency and to avoid a large amount of power consumption, by using a sheathed heater directly for a heating roller. CONSTITUTION:For a sheathed heater, a refractory material 12 like magnesium oxide is filled around a heater wire 11 such as a nichrome wire, etc. to be completely solidified, and a metallic cylinder 13 of brass and a teflon coating 14 are applied to the outer circumference. Such heater is directly used for a heating roller. As a result, the internal composition is turned into a complete hard pack state by the heat generated from the wire 11. The temperature rises to a fixing level in a short time by turning on an electric power supply, because it has high heat conductivity and high heat efficiency. As a result, the high-speed copying is possible with a small amount of power consumption.
