Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the quenching ability due to less fuel deposed and ignitionability due to wider evaporation area of fuel by installing a great-heat-capacity trapezodial bed on the bottom of a burner, on which liquid fuel is dropped. CONSTITUTION:A great-heat-capacity trapezodial bed 7 is installed on the internal bottom face of an ignition pot 4. With the middle part rising, the trapezoidal bed 7 is made of ceramic or stainless and a stabilizing baffle 8 is put on the top of it. Fuel is dropped from fuel supply pipe 9 on the upper slope of the trapezoidal bed 7, flows on the slope, and is ignited by an ignition heater 14 supplied on the bottom. Under normal burning, fuel is almost evaporated on the slope to remain a little, which can be extinquished for a short period. Air used for burning is swirled by a swirler 6.
