Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the capacity of a heater and to ensure the copying operation of excellent quality by imparting a copy starting instruction in case the temperature of a thermally fixing roller is higher than a preset level.
CONSTITUTION: There is provided a temperature detector 20, which is operative to detect the temperature of a roller directly from a thermister and to convert it to electric signals, so that the surface temperature of the roller is detected and compared at a comparator 21 with a reference level Ts. In the case it is higher than the reference level, a fixation instruction Sa is generated. The reference level Ts is so preset at a level that the roller temperature does not become lower than the lower limit TL when paper is supplied. On the other hand, a continuous copier 23 responds to the starting instruction and the instruction of termination of the precedent copying operation to generate a copy start preparing instructions Sb.
