Abstract

PURPOSE: To make excellent color reproduction possible by attaining effective phase compensation with a delay time shortened, by using a phase-locked loop and by providing a phase compensator circuit into the loop.
CONSTITUTION: Phase-locked loop 37 is used to obtain frequency 2)fI) twice as high as index frequency (fI) easily and then, phase compensator circuit 42 is provided into loop 37 to attain extremely-simple phase compensation. In assition, the index signal processor consists of index type picture tube 31, index signal detector 34, frequency selector 35, amplitude limiter circuit 36, sampling circuit 44, reset pulse generating circuit 45, 1/3-divider circuit 43, gate circuits 46 to 48, etc. As a result, a signal of 2(fI) from loop 37 is inputted to circuit 43 and a reset signal, on the other hand, is applied to circuit 43 at every time of starting a unidirectional scan to generate a gate signal; and then, circuits 46 to 48 turn on to input primary- color signals of R, G and B to picture tube 31, so that color reproduction will be done.
