Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to increase the copying speed and the resolution, as compared with the conventional method, by setting a plurality of optical fibers into a main scanning line.
CONSTITUTION: The laser flux of light A from a laser source 3 is periodically deflected by a rotary polygonal mirror 5, and a cylindrical lens 7 is used so that the original O upon its carriage 1 is condensed for main scanning purposes in the direction of arrow P into a slit shape which has a small length and a very small width.
