Abstract

That is, when the switches 26 to 31 are conducted, the commutation capacitor capacity becomes the sum of the capacities of the capacitors 14 to 19 and 14S to 19S as increased, while when they are shut off, the capacitor capacity becomes the capacities of only the capacitors 14 to 19 to be thus reduced. Accordingly, since it can increase the capacitor capacity af lower frequency operating time and decrease it at higher frequency operating time, it can stably operate the inverter over wide frequencies.
