Abstract

PURPOSE:To discriminate color transfer printing beforehand and reproduce colors at high fidelity resembling the original picture image, by adding standard color pattern generating circuit, color picture image reading part, color signal amplifying and signal level judging circuit to an existing color ink jet device. CONSTITUTION:A standard color pattern generating circuit 11, a color picture image reading part 12, and a color signal amplifying and signal level judging circuit 13 are added to an existing color ink jet device consisting of complementary color signal conversion circuits 1 ro 3, ink injection driving circuit 4 to 6, and ink injection heads 7 to 9. The generating circuit 11 is designed to, for instance, generate a square pattern of black color. The black color absorbs all the primary colors of light, red, green and blue, so that the output signals R, G, B in the circuit 11 are all 0. Therefore, injecting three colors from the heads 7 to 9, they are mixed on a recording paper 10 to be turned into a black color. This is read in the reading part 12. These signals are amplified in the circuit 13, them it is judged whether the color transfer printing is normal nor not. When judged to be all normal, the regular transfer printing is started.
