Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure the switching for the right- and left-turn circular and linear polarized waves by installing the ferrimagnetic yoke wound with the coil at the outside of the plated waveguide in order to vary the pulse current to be flowed to the coil. CONSTITUTION:Plated waveguide 2 is formed by metallizing the entire surface excluding the both end surface of the square or circular ferrimagnetic bar. Ferrimagnetic yoke 5 wound with coil 6 is mounted outside waveguid 2, and the magnetic poles are arranged on four sides of waveguide 2 so that the opposite polarites may be secured between the adjacent poles to each other. Now the direction is varied for the pulse current to be flowed to coil 6, and thus the magnetizing direction of ferrimagnetic substance 1 is changed as shown by the arrows in Fig. (a) and (b). And in case the linear polarized wave enters in the wave propagaton direction shown in the the figure, the right-turn and left-turn circular polarized waves are generated in Figs (a) and (b) respectively. Also when the pulse current which erases magnetization 4 is flowed, the magnetization of subtrance 1 is erased and the circular polarized wave is delivered directly. In this way, the switching is possible for the right- and left-turn circular and linear polarized waves in accordance with the pulse current flown to coil 6.
