Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize and lighten the machine by forming a field pole by arranging the first permanent magnet and a plurality of the second permanent magnets having remanence smaller than the first permanent magnet in the direction of rotation. CONSTITUTION:The rotary magnetic poles 4a, 4b are shaped by disposing the first permanent magnets 5a, 5b having large remanence and the second permanent magnets 6a, 6b having smaller remanence in the direction of rotation while holding magnetic shield plates 7. The thickness of the first permanent magnets 5a, 5b is made smaller than that of the second permanent magnets 6a, 6b and the first permanent magnets 5a, 5b and the second permanent magnets 6a, 6b are arranged to an armature 2 so that magnetic flux density reaching the armature 2 from a field system 1 by the first permanent magnets 5a, 5b is made lower than that by the second permanent magnets 6a, 6b. Accordingly, the maximum value of fundamental magnetic flux density can be enlarged, and the rotary electric machine can be miniaturized and lightened.
