Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a selectively permeable composite membrane which is excellent in water permeability, salt-removing property, consolidation resistance, and chemical resistance by the procedure in which an aqueous solution of a water- soluble addition compound obtained from a specific composition of a polyepoxy compound and an amino compound is coated over a fine porous support base, and then it is treated with a solution of a multifunctional compound with the aid of heating. CONSTITUTION:A polyepoxy compound composed of 100 to 5 mole% triglycidylisocyanurate of the formula (I) and 0 to 95 mole% bisepoxy compound of the formula (II) (where R is -CH2-CH2- or -CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-) is reacted with an amino compound with more than 2 amino groups or imino groups or more than one amino group or imino group at -30 C to 100 deg.C. The water-soluble addition compound solution thus obtained is coated over a fine porous support base of polysulfone or cellulose acetate or impregnated into the support base, and then the base is contacted with a solution of a multifunctional compound reactible with amino group, imino group, or OH group and then heated at 50 to 150 deg.C to complete bridging reaction.
