Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the variation in sensitivity of a detector due to the shade of a collimator by making the angle interval of the plate X-ray screen part of the collimator removing scattering X rays equal to or "one divided by an integer" as much as the effective angle of the detector.
CONSTITUTION: Several X-ray detector 8 are fixed and arranged on the same circumference of a circule centering on "O". Then, X-ray source 3 goes round a detected body on the circumference concentric with detectors 8 and radiates X rays in a folding-fan shape. In order to prevent X rays from scattering, collimator 7 made of several plate X-ray screen parts rotating synchronizing with X-ray source 3 is provided to the front surface of detector 8. Here, the effective angle range of detector 8 viewed from center "O" is denoted by B degree, and an angle contained by adjacent collimators 7 is by C degree with B equal to nC (n=1, 2, 3...). As a result, one or several collimators 7 as many as detectors 8 are within the effective angle range of detectors 8 without fail and although X rays are cut off, its rate is constant invariably, so that the sensitivity of detector 8 will not change. Collimators can therefore be provided which remove scattering X rays.
