PURPOSE: To desulfurize exhaust gas at high efficiency with restrained sacle formation by oxidation with air of a portion of absorption aoln. without controlling pH after desulfurization . The absorption aoln. consists of a readily soluble Ca salt, or of low pH slaked lime or CaCo3 to which is added an acid which convert it to the readily soluble Ca salt.
