Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent formation of hard scale of gypsum and thus eliminate troubles such as clogging of piping and a decrease in SO2 absorption efficiency by adding a specified amt. of CaCl2 to less than 0.1% absorbing soln. of Ca(OH)2.
