PURPOSE:To reduce nitrogen compounds contained in waste gas and liquor by means of a plurality of combustion chambers connected in series, each comparted almost isolatedly, comprising those on the upstream for burning waste gas and liquor containing nitrogen compound and the chamber, before last, on the downmost stream provided with a reducing atmosphere and the last chamber provided with an acid atmosphere, - the latter two chambers particularly designed for reducing NOx.
