PURPOSE: To provide a method of treating and waste water which contains aluminum ion, according to which calcium hydroxide is at first admixed into waste water to be treated, and and then pH is finely adjusted with addition sodium hydroxide, whereby generation of sludge can be minimized while prohibiting formation of insoluble calcium, and thus readily separable precipitaye is formed.
