Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce metal carbite with high heat efficiency and reaction rate by mixing metal oxide powder with a specified amount of carbon powder; forming the mixture into granules with average granular size of 3-18 mm; supplying the granules to a heating zone through a preheating zone by means of dead load falling; carrying out indirect electric heating under limited conditions; and cooling the formed metal carbide under a non-oxidizing atmosphere.
