種々の物質の研究がなされている。現在は、チロシナ−
ゼ活性阻害剤として医薬部外品のコウジ酸、アルブチ
ン、アスコルビン酸誘導体等が用いられている。しか
し、チロシナ−ゼ活性阻害剤は、安定性に欠けていた
り、原料の入手が困難であったり、非常に高価であった
りして満足のできるものはない。そこで、我々は入手が
容易でより安価な原料を検索してみたところ、米発酵物
の有機溶媒可溶物中に、非常に強いチロシナ−ゼ活性阻
害作用を確認し、その原料を清酒醸造時の副産物である
酒粕に求め、酒粕中にチロシナ−ゼ活性阻害物質が存在
することを見出した(特開平6−199679号公
報)。

その結果、そのシミ・ソバカスの色が薄くなったことを
確認した。
