DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Acidic granules containing redox active substance
The present invention relates to acidic granules containing a redox active substance,
The present invention relates to a dishwasher detergent containing granules.
In general, redox-active substances are removed from atmospheric acids to prevent their inadvertent oxidation.
It must be stabilized underneath. Also, a desirable chemical reaction may occur during use.
As such, they are usually added to a reactive substance or mixture of reactive substances,
Some of these reactive substances have a premature catalytic content in the presence of redox active substances.
Some will cause a solution.
In the present invention, a redox active substance generally means reversible oxidation and / or reduction.
A substance that can be easily received. These substances may be organic or inorganic.
It may be quality.
Examples of redox-active substances include, for example, dishwasher washing to prevent silverware corrosion.
Metal salts or metal complexes that can be added to detergents,
Metal salt or metal complex. The redox active substance itself (ie,
Metal salt (MnSOFour)) Are generally easily oxidized in air,
Finding ways to efficiently protect redox actives from the surrounding atmospheric oxygen
There is a need. On the other hand, a redox active substance is usually a substance or other substance.
Added to the mixture (eg detergent) and chemically interacted with other components during storage
Since it must not act, it must also be efficiently protected from the surrounding environment. Redox
The controlled release of the original active substance and its chemical interaction with the surrounding environment
It should only occur during use of (eg a detergent).
Some starting points for solving these problems are found in the prior art. example
If, for example, the redox active is coated (ie, it is water resistant,
Completely covered with easily removable material). Known methods (eg in the food industry)
Preferred cores applied by the known Sandvik melt coating method)
For example, paraffin, microwax, natural wax (carna)
Uba wax, candellila wax, beeswax, etc.), relatively high melting
Point alcohol (eg, hexadecanol), soap or fatty acid.
However, while this method can be successful, it often has disadvantages.
I know that. For example, to guarantee a continuous coating film
, Is not always technically possible. Also, coated particles in a mixture of substances
Often tend to separate from the mixture (ie settle to the bottom of the container)
Has been recognized as a practical problem. This tendency is due to the coating redox activity in the mixture.
The lower the substance content, the stronger. However, redox actives are generally only small
This trend is an issue that cannot be overlooked because it is not added.
Simple granulation is only a partial solution to this problem. Because redox
The original active substance can still interact with atmospheric oxygen and other components in the mixture.
Because you can.
Therefore, the problem addressed by the present invention is to inadvertently react with atmospheric oxygen,
A redox-active substance that does not chemically react with the components of the mixture to which it is added
Was to provide. In the present invention, the redox active substance has a tendency to separate.
It is desirable not to have any. The steps required to solve this problem are as small as possible.
Better not.
The above problem is that the 1% by weight aqueous solution is less than 7 at 20 ° C (preferably in the range of 1.5 to 3.5).
) And 0.001 to 50% by weight (preferably 0.1 to 20% by weight, more preferably
(1 to 10% by weight) of a redox-active substance.
Solved by granules.
In the present invention, granules are particles formed from a powder by an agglomeration step.
The definition of “granule” is defined in Winnacker / Kuchler “Chemische Technologie”, Volume 1 (Carl
Hanser Verlag, Munich / Vienna, 1984), pages 384-387. This
References include fluid bed spray granulation, bread granulation, mixer granulation, and press and granulation.
Roller granulation methods are also described. The granules of the present invention can be pelletized with a commercially available mixer.
Preferably, it is produced by gasification. To do so, first, the carrier substance and the oxidation
The reducing active substance is introduced into the mixer and an aqueous solution of water and / or other components and / or other
Granulate with the granulation liquid. If necessary, dry the granules with a fluid bed dryer, etc.
Fractions are separated by sieving. Acids are granulated as solid and / or liquid components
Can be introduced. Suitable carrier materials are solids commonly used in detergents, such as
Soda, sodium citrate, citric acid, sodium bicarbonate and especially NaTwo
SOFourAnd so on. For example, carboxymethylcellulose and BASF
Polyacrylate sold under the name of, for example, to increase the stability of the particles
And may be used as a granulation aid.
The particle diameter of the granules of the present invention extends over the entire range disclosed in the above-mentioned prior art.
The preferred range is about 0.2-1.8 mm. Particle bulk density (DIN-ISO 697 (1
Measured according to Jan. 987) is in the range of about 300-1300 g / l.
The above-mentioned redox active substances generally easily undergo reversible oxidation and / or reduction.
Organic or inorganic substances that can be removed. For example, EDTA or hydroxyethanediphosphonic acid
And a typical complexing agent such as a bleach activator of the TAED type (ie, can be easily cleaved)
Compounds that have bleaching activation by the presence of N-C bonds) and related compounds
Is not included in the scope of the definition.
Organic redox actives include, for example, ascorbic acid, indole, cysteine,
Such as cystine or methionine. In addition, international patent application PCT / EP94 / 01387
The primary and secondary intermediates shown, more specifically p-hydroxyphenyl
Luglycine, 2,4-diaminophenol, 5-chloro-2,3-pyridinediol, 1- (p-
(Aminophenyl) -morpholine, hydroquinone, pyrocatechol, hydroxyhydride
Roquinone, gallic acid, phloroglucinol and pyrogallol are also suitable redox
Active substance.
Inorganic redox active substances include, for example, sulfur-based substances in various oxidation states, NaTwoSTwoOThree(H
Sodium osulphate), NaTwoSTwoOFour(Sodium dithionite) or NaTwoSTwoOFive(Disulfide
Acid sodium).
Inorganic redox active substances are transition metals or reference that can be easily oxidized and / or reduced.
It is preferably a salt or complex of the type metal. This is especially true in international patent applications.
Reference is made to the disclosure of PCT / EP94 / 01386. Transition metals, especially metallic iron, titanium,
Preference is given to salts or complexes of manganese, tin, cobalt, nickel and copper.
Particularly preferred are salts or complexes of manganese (II), manganese (III) and manganese (IV).
Good. Anhydrous or hydrous MnSOFourIs particularly preferred.
Further, a manganese complex disclosed in International Patent Application WO94 / 19445 is also a preferred example.
is there. Specifically, these manganese complexes include:

, Degreased with gasoline and dried. Next, 500g of hot water (35 ° C) with a hardness of 16 ° d
A detergent solution was prepared from 2.5 g of detergents I to VIII. Next, put the silver spoon above
After immersion in the solution, it was heated to 65 ° C. The final temperature of 65 ° C. was reached after about 20 minutes. Next
Leave the silver spoon in the solution for 10 minutes, remove it, rinse with water and visually
Therefore, it was evaluated. Discoloration (cloudiness) was rated on a scale from 0 to 5. 0 = no change, 1
= Completely cloudy surface (almost no discoloration), 2 = partial (local) discoloration
(Darkening), 3 = medium discoloration covering the surface, 4 = darkening / purple covering the surface completely
