Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the rotation of a connecting member to an inlet and outlet piping with a simple structure in a heat-exchanger having a connecting member such as union mounted on the end part circumference of the inlet and outlet piping of the heat-exchanger by fixing the connecting member by use of the bracket of the inlet and outlet piping fixed to the core of the heat-exchanger. SOLUTION: The heat-exchanger core part of a heat-exchanger has a pair of headers 3, a plurality of tubes allowing both the headers 3 to communicate each other, and a fin 5 arranged between the tubes. An inlet (outlet) piping 6 is connected to the header 3, and a union 7 as connecting member is mounted on the end part of the piping 6, so that another piping is connectable by screwing of a cap nut. In this case, a flat locking part 8 is formed on a part of the circumference of the union 7, and a piping fixing bracket 9 consisting of an L-shaped member 10 and a member 11 is fixed to the header 3. Both the members 10, 11 are fixed to the flat locking part 8 of the union 7 by a screw 16 so as to nip it by one-side ends 12, 14 of the members 10, 11.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a structure of a pipe connecting portion provided with a connecting member such as a union or a flange at an end of an inlet / outlet pipe for introducing / exiting a heat exchange medium into / from a heat exchanger, for example, FIG. The following are known. In FIG. 6, reference numeral 51 denotes an end of an inlet (outlet) pipe for introducing (extracting) a heat exchange medium (for example, a refrigerant) into a heat exchanger (not shown). The pipe 51 is inserted into a hole 54 of a connection member 53 composed of a flange 52. Then, the outer periphery of the end of the pipe 51 and the rear end 55 of the connecting member 53 are joined by brazing or welding, so that the airtightness in this portion is ensured.

However, in the above proposal, a caulking structure is adopted between the pipe and the connecting member, so that the airtightness between them is relatively easily ensured. During a connection operation for connecting another pipe or the like to the connection member, the connection member may rotate with respect to the pipe, and the connection operation may be difficult.
Among the above proposals, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 63-57988 discloses a structure for preventing rotation of a connecting member, but leaves room for improvement in strength.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, a heat exchanger according to the present invention comprises a union connection around an end of an inlet / outlet pipe through which a heat exchange medium is introduced into and out of the heat exchanger. In a heat exchanger in which a member is attached and a nut provided at an end of another pipe is screwed to the connecting member, the connecting member is fixed to the core of the heat exchanger for fixing the inlet / outlet pipe. Characterized by being fixed by using the metal fittings. The method for fixing the connection member to an inlet pipe fixing metal fitting (hereinafter, also simply referred to as “metal fitting”) is not particularly limited. For example, the connection member and the metal fitting are brazed. A method, a method of caulking a fitting to the connection member, a method of clamping and fixing the connection member with the fitting, or the like can be adopted. It is also possible to employ a combination of the above methods.

In the above-described heat exchanger, the connecting member is fixed to the inlet / outlet pipe fixing metal fitting.
Rotation of the connecting member with respect to the pipe is reliably prevented, and assembling workability can be improved. In addition, since the metal fitting is conventionally fixed to the heat exchanger core for pipe fixing, it is possible to prevent an increase in cost due to a substantial increase in the number of parts and to fix the connection member. As a result, the pipe is also fixed at the same time, so that the original function of the fitting can be achieved. Furthermore, in the present invention, the effect of preventing the rotation of the connection member with respect to the pipe can be sufficiently ensured by fixing with the above-described metal fittings. If it is enough. Therefore, a known method (for example, brazing, caulking, etc.) can be adopted.
