Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in an electronic camera, an electric component mounted in a lens barrel and performing operations such as zooming and focusing of the lens barrel is generally provided on an electric board on which an image pickup device is mounted via a flexible board or the like. The connection is made and its operation is controlled. This flexible board is connected by a connector or the like provided on the electric board. On this occasion,
The connector is usually arranged on the imaging element mounting surface of the electric board.

In recent years, in electronic cameras,
In order to improve the image quality, a multi-pixel image sensor tends to be used. Since it is difficult to reduce the pixel pitch of this type of imaging device, the imaging area of the entire device increases as the number of pixels increases. As a result, the diameter of the photographing lens and the like becomes large corresponding to the large-sized image sensor, and the diameter of the entire lens barrel must be increased. Further, as the size of the image sensor increases, the area occupied by the image sensor on the electric board increases.

Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3, this type of electronic camera has a multi-pixel image pickup device 203, and when the image pickup device 203 is mounted, the electric board 204 becomes narrower.
Since a large number of electric components (not shown) must be mounted in the upper space, and the size of the lens barrel 202 with respect to the electric board 204 is large, the arrangement position of the connector 205 is limited. . In such a case, the connection work of the flexible board 201 to the connector 205 is difficult due to the electric components and the base end of the lens barrel 202 arranged at high density in a narrow space on the electric board 204.
