Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an improved fertile soil free from contamination with agricultural chemicals by blending a surplus soil produced from a construction work and being free from agricultural chemicals and heavy metals with an organic fertilizer such as a composts formed from organic wastes such as wet refuses to make a fertile vegetative soil and replacing heretofore used soil on a farm by the formed soil. SOLUTION: A surplus soil from a construction work e.g. an excavation work is analyzed on its components and properties to confirm that it is not contaminated with agricultural chemicals or heavy metals. Next, the surplus soil not contaminated with the above contaminants is blended with a compost prepared by the microbial fermentation of a starting material not contaminated with agricultural chemicals and heavy metals, such as wet refuses, residues from food processing, and wastes from agriculture and stoke farming, and the blend is cured for a suitable time to make a vegetative soil. The curing time is experimentally predetermined according to the composition of the surplus soil or the compost used and the kind of the crop to be grown. A soil in a farm or a house is replaced by the produced soil to realize a fertile soil not contaminated with agricultural chemicals and heavy metal within a short time. This makes it possible to stably supply consumers with crops not at all contaminated with agricultural chemicals.

2. Description of the Related Art At present, the number of compounds used as pesticides is about 600 in the world and about 450 in Japan. Some pesticides have high soil persistence. For example, organochlorine pesticides typified by DDT and BHC, which have been used in large quantities in Japan, are stable for a long period of time because of their indegradability. Thus, pesticides are still accumulating in the soil even when use is stopped. As a result, the crop may be contaminated with the pesticide, and the pesticide may be taken in and accumulated in a human body who has taken the crop.

Agricultural land that has been using pesticides for many years may have accumulated pesticides in the soil. It takes two or three years for pesticides to decompose,
Crops harvested during this time may absorb pesticides.
Therefore, in order to immediately cultivate pesticide-free crops, it is necessary to replace the soil with no pesticide accumulation. But,
Most of the soil currently used as agricultural land has already been sprayed with pesticides, so it is necessary to collect it from non-farm land to obtain pesticide-free soil.

[0005] Most of the surplus construction soil has been disposed of as industrial waste. For example, there is a case where construction residue generated when excavating to construct a building contains a large amount of clay having a particle size of 5 μm or less. Such soils are too hard to allow plant roots to enter. Further, since oxygen is not supplied, it cannot be used as it is as vegetation soil for cultivating plants. Thus, most of the construction surplus soil is not suitable for cultivation. For this reason, attempts have been made to add soil amendments to improve vegetable soil,
As disclosed in JP-A-9-25482, a polymer compound may be used as a soil improving material. Such a polymer compound is
It is effective in improving soil properties, but can have a negative effect on crops.

First, the components and properties of the construction surplus soil obtained by excavation work and the like are analyzed to confirm that there is no contamination by pesticides or heavy metals. Next, compost produced by fermentation of microorganisms is mixed with raw materials that are free from pesticides and do not contain heavy metals, such as garbage, food processing residues, and agricultural and livestock wastes, and are mixed with the remaining construction soil and cured for a predetermined time. This produces vegetable soil, that is, culture soil. The mixing ratio of the compost and the compost, and the curing time vary depending on the composition of the compost and the compost, and the type of crops to be cultivated.

When replacing the soil of the existing farmland or house with the culture soil produced by the above-mentioned method, the culture soil is put into a biodegradable plastic container which is decomposed by microorganisms in the soil and unitized. Can be adopted. The unitization of the culture soil makes it easier to handle and can be replaced in a short time. In addition, by spreading the unitized products on conventional farmland or the like, it is possible to obtain soil with uniform properties and to cultivate crops of stable quality without contamination by pesticides.

%. No pesticides or heavy metals were included. The compost generated from the garbage was mixed with the surplus soil. The C / N ratio of the compost was about 14, and the average particle size was about 1 mm. For the mixing, the construction waste soil and compost were mixed at a ratio of 20: 1 using a rotary kiln. After mixing, the mixture was cured under an oxygen supply for 2 weeks to produce a culture soil. The culture soil produced by this method was replaced by 20 cm from the surface of the farmland, and the improved soil was used to grow round leaf komatsuna. Cultivation of round leaves Komatsuna was carried out in a natural light type artificial weather chamber. On day 45, the height of Komatsuna Maruba is 10
It grew to more than cm and was successfully cultivated. Further, when the components in the round leaf komatsuna were analyzed, no pesticides were detected.
