And the real part is offered to pharmaceuticals. Senna has a laxative effect on its efficacy, and its components include anthraquinones such as aloe-emodin, dianthrones such as sennoside ABCD, flavonoids such as kaempferol, and other components such as pinitol and salicylic.
acid and the like. The amount of senna used is generally 0.5-2 g per day in powdered form and 3-6 g per day as a decoction. Senna leaflets and fruits have a bitter smell and have a bitter taste, and when decocted, it takes time and effort, and there is a risk of spilling over. Furthermore, except for the senna lobules and the fruit, they were disposed of as waste, despite the medicinal properties, thus promoting garbage pollution and wasting resources.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION To explain the embodiment of the present invention, the senna used is a part used as a medicine (a senna lobule part listed in the Japanese Pharmacopoeia and a component used exclusively as a medicine). This is the senna stalk which is waste after removing the two parts of the fruit part which is the part having the senna. In consideration of the extraction efficiency, the degree of mixing with other materials, and the ease of handling as a product, the senna stalk portion 1a of the senna stalk portion has a length of about 3 to 8 mm, preferably 5 mm. It is formed finely. The powder 1b of the senna stem portion is 60 to 100 mesh, preferably about 80 mesh.
The powder is ground to about a mesh, and the cut pieces 1a of the senna stalk and the powder 1b of the senna stalk are roasted or dried by heating to form a dried senna 1.

In the roasting or heating and drying, the senna stalk and its powder and the chopped pieces and powder of the material usable for health food are separately prepared at a temperature of about 60-200 ° C. for 3-20 minutes.
Seconds, preferably 10-15 at a temperature of 130-150 ° C
Seconds, most preferably by roasting or heat drying at a temperature of 140 ° C. for about 15 seconds. In this case, without necessarily roasting or heating and drying separately, it is also possible to simultaneously roast or heat dry the powder of the senna stem portion and the powder of a material that can be used for health food,
By doing so, the working time can be reduced. Since the roasting or heating drying is performed at a high temperature of 60 ° C. or more for 3 to 20 seconds in a short time, loss of the medicinal component of sennoside, which is a medicinal component, can be prevented.

Sennoside hardly loses its medicinal components even when heated at 140 ° C. for about 15 seconds.
Experiments have shown that heating at 15 ° C. for more than 15 seconds results in the loss of the medicinal ingredient. For this reason, it is necessary to improve the workability by performing a sterilization treatment by roasting or heating and drying at a high temperature for as short a time as possible. Here, the heating of the senna stem is mainly for disinfecting various bacteria attached to the substance. However, since the green odor of the senna remains only by heating and drying, roasting can provide a mild taste by sterilizing the senna and eliminating the green odor by roasting the senna.

Here, E.I. The mildest condition for sterilizing E. coli (Escherichia coli) is, as shown in (1) of Table 5, assuming that the coefficient of the heat conduction time to the center of the material to be sterilized is 1.2. At 0.2C, multiplying 0.27 minutes by the heat transfer time gives 20 seconds (0.324 minutes). That is, 6

Similarly, E. The most severe conditions for sterilizing E. coli (Escherichia coli) are as follows. For heat-resistant bacterial spores, the coefficient of heat conduction time to the center of the material to be sterilized is assumed to be 500, and destruction of chemical components is minimized. Table 6 shows that heating at 200 ° C. for 3 seconds is sufficient. In this case, although not shown in Table 6, the scale is increased in the downward and rightward directions, and an intersection with the solid line in the graph takes a time to reach about 0.0018 seconds, which does not reach 1 second. However, based on experience, the heat conduction time to the center of the object to be sterilized must be at least 2 seconds, and if about 0.0018 seconds are added from Table 6, the fraction is small but it is advanced to 3 seconds for safety. . That is, it is derived not only from the graph of Table 6 but also from the numerical values from experiments and experiences, the degree of safety, the overall uniform heating, and the like.

Further, the optimum value of the heating time is sufficient to disinfect the bacterial spores, to minimize the destruction of chemical components, and to sufficiently satisfy the three conditions of no risk of carbonization. is necessary. Here, from Table 6, it is assumed that the coefficient of heat conduction time for starting carbonization by an object from 160 ° C. (320 ° F.) and reliably transferring heat to the center of the object (sterilized object) is 2.5. When heating at as high a temperature as possible to minimize the destruction of chemical components, the temperature that almost satisfies the above three conditions is 140 ° C (284 ° C).
F) is 15 seconds.

The heating and drying is performed not only to sterilize Escherichia coli and general bacteria contained in the senna stem and the like by blowing heated dry air or steam, but also to remove moisture. Roasting may be used instead of heating and drying. In addition to the sterilization treatment and moisture removal, roasting has the effect of removing blue odor and smoothing the flavor. In this case, the sennoside contained in the senna is very weak to heat, and if roasted or heated and dried for a long period of time, the medicinal component will be lost. In other words, there is no change in the components even when heated at 140 ° C. for about 15 seconds, but the components deteriorate when heated at 150 ° C. for 15 seconds or more. Workability is improved.

The mixing ratio of the two is not critical, but 1 to 100 parts by weight of a dry material made of a raw material usable for health food is 1 part by weight of the dry matter of senna. But,
There is no particular upper limit on the dried material that can be used for the health food. However, the amount is preferably 10 parts by weight or less with respect to 1 part by weight of the dried senna from the viewpoint of the medicinal effect of the medicinal component contained in the senna stem, the overall flavor and texture, and the like.
